Mimi has been a writer for as long as she can remember. Starting as a journalist for her high-school newspaper, and continuing through to her university campus paper, she left her dreams behind to pursue a career in music media. Along the way, she met and married a wonderful chef, and spent ten wonderful years with him before his untimely passing at the age of 34. His legacy left an impact on the way Mimi understood, interpreted, and respected food, in particular, influencing her passion for local and regional foodstuffs. Mimi maintains her own food blog here, and is also a co-blogger at Sky Church Music. When she isn’t in the kitchen lovingly preparing recipes for her eight-year-old son, or out at yet another concert, Mimi can be found taking long, restorative walks to sort the day away before sitting down to craft works of fiction and creative non-fiction.
